As a CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for delivering evidence-based and focused treatment plans for young people aged 13-18 with general mental health Tier 4 presentations, including disordered eating. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to create tailored treatment programs to support the individual needs of each young person within a warm and nurturing environment. Your role will include reviewing referrals and determining the appropriateness for admission, conducting admission assessments, and managing effective care plans. You will also conduct risk assessments and allocate specialist psychological treatments as needed.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be registered on the Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry with a licence to practice. Experience of CAMHS Forensic and/or Eating Disorders is desirable. You will also be required to take part in the On-Call Consultant rota.

Within this role, you will be seconded to a partner organization which will hold responsibility for clinical leadership, day-to-day clinical assurance, CQC registration, and commissioning oversight.
The Consultant will have a continuing responsibility for the care of patients in their charge and to undertake the administrative duties associated with their care. They will be expected to co-operate with the Clinical Director and Care Group Management on organisational and budget issues.
The post holder will lead on Parkinson disease and movement disorders.
The on-call commitment and acute hospital sessional commitment to medicine and rehabilitation will be
organised with the Consultant’s colleagues to ensure both delivery of this goal and continuity of
responsibility for inpatient care.
