Two issues have been high on the agenda at Capital for the first part of the 2015. Revalidation and The Care Certificate.
Revalidation is a major change for all Nurses and Midwives from September 2015 and Capital is here to help you. We have our own Revalidation Officer who along with our team of Clinical Managers will guide you through the process and advise you on how best to proceed through Revalidation.
Capital will be holding a series of Educational Workshops over the coming months and you will find more details of these further on in this Newsletter.
For HCA’s there has been the introduction of The Care Certificate which came into effect on April 1st 2015. Following on from the last newsletter, Capital now has in place a dedicated team for The Care Certificate so that we can provide both our existing HCA’s and new HCA candidates the correct development tools and guidance so that everyone can achieve the required level and attain a Care Certificate.
We are delighted to report that we already have two HCA’s that are nearing the end of the process and will shortly be issued with their Care Certificates…congratulations!
In other news we are extremely pleased to announce that Bernie Croft, who many of you know, has given birth to a healthy baby girl. We can report that both Mother and baby are doing fine!
Capital also has welcomed three new members of staff. Debra Collier joins as Financial Controller, Sharon Kuever has joined as a Compliance Officer and Taneal Dalton has joined as Head of Homecare and Nursing. Please see further on in the Newsletter for more from Taneal.
Capital has also launched it’s Charity of the Year for 2015/2016, and we are very proud and excited to support CANCER RESEARCH UK. We would like you all to get involved throughout the next twelve months and we will keep you updated on the events we will be running. Please read on for further information and details on how you can donate.
